  • SOCIAL DISTRCIT — As you can see there is no Hospitality Tent this year. That is due to the Village being approved for a Social District in part of our downtown area. You can purchase SOCIAL DISTRICT BEVERAGES at both Phillips Cider Bar & Leo’s Boat Shed to be enjoyed in the downtown area. Please note the social district will be allowed FOR THE FESTIVAL DAY ONLY ON ALL 4 MAIN BLOCKS DOWNTOWN (this is not the normal social district area) - YOU CANNOTBRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOLICBEVERAGES INTO THIS AREA. NOALCOHOL IS ALLOWED IN THE MAINPARK. Bands have been scheduled throughout the day downtown and into the night! Please enjoy yourself but remember to DRINK RESPONSIBLY.

5K Run / Walk

Join us in Maple Rapids on Saturday, September 20TH for the 3RD annual Lamplighter Festival 5k run/walk. The 5K will kick off the festival activities. Immediately following the race, there will be a lamplighter ceremony and parade. There will be craft shows and live entertainment in the park and fun activities for the kiddos! This is a family friendly evenT, all ages and abilities are welcome.

5k Pricing: $30 until AUGUST 31ST (shirts guaranteed), then $35 (shirts limited, available as supplies last). Registration on day of race is $40.

Kids Dash will be held shortly before the 5k and is a fun run for the kids - FREE

Location: Meet at Park Pavilion on corner of Main St and Poplar St in Maple Rapids, MI 48853

5k Race Start Time: 8:30 am

Kids Fun Run Dash: Shortly before the 5k start - Approx 8:00 am to 8:15 am start

Packet pickup:  7:15 to 8:15 AM on race day morning

5k Awards: Overall award for top Female and Male finisher. Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each age group: 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be available live during the race and afterwards on this website.

Car Show

Join us for the 1st Annual Maple Rapids Lamplighter Car Show, part of the Maple Rapids Lamplighter Festival, on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Registratation begins at 9:00 am, with the show running from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event features classic and custom cars, and registration is just $5 per vehicle. Awards will be given, and registered participants will be entered into raffle drawings. Dash plaques will be available for registered participants while supplies last. Don’t miss this exciting new tradition in Maple Rapids!

PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT HAS BEEN MOVED FROM 209 UNION ST to our BASEBALL PARK NEAR THE CORNER OF MAIN & POPLAR STREET.
