Maple Rapids Fire Department brand new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado - Medical First Response Vehicle
This vehicle will be used to respond to any medical calls in our service community, which makes up about 80% of our call volume. We are fortunate and appreciate to have the support from our community to allow us to have equipment like this.
Thank you to the Village of Maple Rapids, Essex Township, Lebanon Township, North Shade Township and Fulton Township for making this happen!!

On July 22, 2023 some Headstones were replaced in the Village Cemetery - they were all Veterans of the Civil War. The group that helped provide the new stones and helped with replacing them were: All Camp 58 members, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. They meet at the VFW Post in DeWitt every other month starting in January.
Recently the painted Mural on the downtown building was repainted by some very special volunteers. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project!
Maple Rapids Fire Department - August 9, 2023 - The department holds meetings and training twice each month. This evening they were using a hydrant for different water supply operations.
